UDI-DI What happens to MDs/IVDs that are already registered? February 2024 is here.

If the product is already registered, the UDI-DI code must also be registered.

INVIMA established the following times according to the classification of the product:

-From February 8, 2024 to February 8, 2025: INVIMA must be informed of the UDI-DI for registered DMs and Class III IVDs.

-From February 8, 2024 to August 8, 2025, the UDI-DI for registered Class IIb DMs and Class II IVDs must be reported to INVIMA

-From February 8, 2024 to February 8, 2026, the UDI-DI for registered Class IIa and I DMs and class I IVDs must be reported to INVIMA.

Products that obtain new health registration as of February 2024 must contain the UDI-DI.
